Alzheimer\u2019s<\/h2><\/div><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-1\"><p>In the small town of Borohr\u00e1\u00addek in the Czech Repu\u00adblic, the\u00adre is a show\u00adca\u00adse pro\u00adject for seni\u00ador citi\u00adzens with Alzheimer\u2019s.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The buil\u00adding its\u00adelf is spe\u00adci\u00adal\u00adly desi\u00adgned to meet the needs of peo\u00adp\u00adle with dementia.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It con\u00adsists of three wings, each housing an inde\u00adpen\u00addent living com\u00admu\u00adni\u00adty. Each wing is home to eight resi\u00addents, simi\u00adlar to living in their own house. Each com\u00admu\u00adni\u00adty has its own spa\u00adcious com\u00admon room whe\u00adre meals can be shared. This extre\u00adme\u00adly fami\u00adli\u00adar living envi\u00adron\u00adment allows resi\u00addents with Alz\u00adhei\u00admer\u2019s to find their way around in the best pos\u00adsi\u00adble&nbsp;way.<\/p>\n<p>On the ground flo\u00ador, the three wings meet at a spa\u00adcious ent\u00adrance hall that can be used for events with all resi\u00addents. Acti\u00advi\u00adties such as dog the\u00adra\u00adpy, cera\u00admics and pain\u00adting work\u00adshops, as well as regu\u00adlar super\u00advi\u00adsi\u00adon ses\u00adsi\u00adons with care\u00adgi\u00advers and resi\u00addents, take place here. Addi\u00adtio\u00adnal\u00adly, the\u00adre is a mas\u00adsa\u00adge room with light the\u00adra\u00adpy for depres\u00adsi\u00adon in the ent\u00adrance area, which can be used by both resi\u00addents and care\u00adgi\u00advers. Objects and pic\u00adtures from the past are deli\u00adbera\u00adte\u00adly used to acti\u00adva\u00adte the resi\u00addents\u2019 memo\u00adries and sti\u00admu\u00adla\u00adte conversations.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pri\u00adva\u00adcy and inde\u00adpen\u00addence are great\u00adly valued.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This is why the mana\u00adging direc\u00adtor, Karel Vacek, put a lot of thought into deve\u00adlo\u00adping a con\u00adcept that opti\u00admal\u00adly sup\u00adports life and work in a care faci\u00adli\u00adty for Alz\u00adhei\u00admer\u2019s pati\u00adents. Part of the con\u00adcept is the Sen\u00ads\u00adFlo\u00ador assis\u00adtance sys\u00adtem. Hid\u00adden under the flo\u00ado\u00adring in all bed\u00adrooms, the sen\u00adsor sys\u00adtem wat\u00adches over its resi\u00addents. If someone falls in their room, the sys\u00adtem imme\u00addia\u00adte\u00adly detects it and auto\u00adma\u00adti\u00adcal\u00adly calls a care\u00adgi\u00adver for help, wit\u00adhout the resi\u00addents having to press any but\u00adtons they might not remem\u00adber. The assis\u00adtance sys\u00adtem is invi\u00adsi\u00adbly instal\u00adled in the flo\u00ador, not dis\u00adtur\u00adbing the living envi\u00adron\u00adment or con\u00adfu\u00adsing the residents.<\/p>\n<p>The care\u00adgi\u00advers espe\u00adci\u00adal\u00adly app\u00adre\u00adcia\u00adte the assis\u00adtance sys\u00adtem during the night when only one staff mem\u00adber is respon\u00adsi\u00adble for all three resi\u00adden\u00adti\u00adal groups. In the foy\u00ader, the\u00adre is a huge screen dis\u00adplay\u00ading the Sen\u00ads\u00adFlo\u00ador sta\u00adti\u00adon ter\u00admi\u00adnal with a brief over\u00adview of all rooms. Based on the color of each room field, they can imme\u00addia\u00adte\u00adly see whe\u00adther a resi\u00addent is in bed or has got\u00adten up. The night shift can then check the\u00adse rooms spe\u00adci\u00adfi\u00adcal\u00adly and accom\u00adpa\u00adny the resi\u00addents to the toi\u00adlet or keep them com\u00adpa\u00adny to help them fall asleep, depen\u00adding on the situa\u00adti\u00adon. If one of the seni\u00adors gets lost and acci\u00adden\u00adtal\u00adly enters the wrong bed\u00adroom, it is also dis\u00adplay\u00aded on the sta\u00adti\u00adon ter\u00admi\u00adnal. This is a reassu\u00adring fee\u00adling for the staff during the day and night. The work here is enjoya\u00adble, and none of the staff mem\u00adbers want to be wit\u00adhout Sen\u00ads\u00adFlo\u00ador in their job any\u00admo\u00adre. Mr. Vacek, the mana\u00adging direc\u00adtor, also noti\u00adces this: \u201cOf cour\u00adse, we have a long wai\u00adting list for our rooms. But we were also able to quick\u00adly fill all of our open posi\u00adti\u00adons. I care very much about satis\u00adfied employees. They are cru\u00adcial for smooth ope\u00adra\u00adti\u00adon, a plea\u00adsant atmo\u00adsphe\u00adre, and hap\u00adpy resi\u00addents.
